Designers and makers working in jewellery, glass, sculpture, ceramics, textiles, wood, print, and recycled materials are sought for Thoresby Gallery’s Winterfest Art 08.

It is designed to offer artists the opportunity to exhibit their talent & creativity and to give Christmas shoppers the experience of buying original handcrafted art they cannot find in the High Street.  The Riding Hall provides an atmospheric location that is clean, dry and has easy access for loading & unloading.

“The vast majority of the work in Thoresby Gallery is sourced from local artists, celebrating the depth and talent this area has to offer. Winterfest Art 08 is another opportunity for us to play a positive role in promoting the talented artists living and working in our local communities.”

Thoresby will be operating a credit card payment facility for customers of those Artists who cannot accept these forms of payment. The event is being promoted in the press & magazines, radio, Thoresby Gallery & Artists Mailing lists, all TICs within the target area, over 11,000 seasonal brochures and 12,000 distributed flyers.

Thoresby Winterfest is a celebration of Art and Theatre being held over November and December 2008 at Thoresby.  Thoresby Courtyard is a retail and multi-arts venue, offering a diverse range of retail, cultural and arts activities, including Thoresby Gallery, artist studios, theatre, exhibitions, and regular events in the surrounding Park.
